Erica Sashin

  Erica Sashin is a NYC-based documentary Director, Showrunner, and Producer who has created series and films for Netflix, Apple TV+, Nat Geo, HBO Max, CNN, PBS, Discovery, BBC, OWN, Starz, Disney+, and the United Nations. 

Recently, Erica Directed and Showran THE DYNASTY: UCONN HUSKIES for Apple TV+ and Produced LOVE, RENDERED 

alongside Liz Garbus and Darren Aronofsky which premiered at the 2026 Telluride Film Festival. 

Her previous work includes DAVID BLAINE: DO NOT ATTEMPT for Nat Geo and Disney+ and HARRY & MEGHAN, Netflix’s most successful documentary debut of all time. Erica told the real-life story of Succession in THE MURDOCHS: EMPIRE OF INFLUENCE with The New York Times for CNN and executive produced WHY WE HATE, a six-hour special event series from Alex Gibney & Steven Spielberg. 

Erica was the showrunner for the Netflix series (UN)WELL, Starz’s WRONG MAN with Joe Berlinger, and the Emmy-nominated series PARCHED for National Geographic and its companion feature documentary, WATER & POWER: A CALIFORNIA HEIST, which had its premiere at Sundance. 

Additional projects include the landmark series BELIEF for OWN, the award-winning feature documentary
